How To Download And Upload Images
To download a photo or image to
your web page, do the following:
* Locate an image on your computer (type in search box)
* Right-click on an image and choose "save picture as"
* Save it on your computer (will be saved in an image folder)
* Give it a filename (make sure the extension is .gif or .jpg)
Now, using an HTML editor, follow the steps below.
Download CoffeeCup HTML Editor -
* Find location where to insert your image on your web page
* Go to the top row of your computer - click on "Insert", "Image"
* Find location where you saved the image and click “ok”
* POOF…it is on your web page (you can resize it in your editor)
After you download images onto your
web web pages, you will need to upload your images and files to a server. Before you
upload all your files, do the following:
Spell check all your web pages
Check your "Titles" of all your pages
Make sure your keywords match your sub-headers
Create a logo with your URL (optional)
Check all your working links and colors
Now, test all your web pages in different
browsers...they are "free" to download. (Note: Before downloading, check
requirements for your operating system):
You can upload your files and images through your
web hosting service using a File
Manager program that is located in a control panel...just follow the instructions
after you login to your web host account.
If a File Manager program is not available through your web host, you will need
to transfer your files using an FTP client program (File Transfer Protocol).
An FTP client program is used to transfer your web pages (files) from your
computer...it allows you to connect to a server on your web hosting account.
You will need your login information and website name that was issued by your web
host to connect you to where you will upload your web pages and other files.
For "Linux", you will need a file named: index.php
An easy-to-use drag and drop FTP client program that you can download for "free"
is located at CoffeeCup. Download CoffeeCup Direct FTP - Click Here.
